Dear Members,
We’re thrilled to announce significant progress on our new art gallery and studio spaces.
We have finalised a draft layout plan for the galleries, and we extend our sincere gratitude to Kevin Alexander and Vanessa van Wyk for their invaluable expertise in this process.
Today, we receive the keys to our new location and we will be moving equipment and materials throughout next week. We must vacate our current space by March 7th.
Your assistance during the move would be greatly appreciated and crucial for us to be fully operational in time for the April Textile Exhibition. We have a lot to accomplish, and we will communicate timings shortly to complete the move.
We have included below the draft layout plans for both galleries. One will function as a traditional gallery space, similar to our current art room. The second will be converted into studio spaces for our members.
Our new address isn’t too far away! Unit L2 and L3 Lower Mall, Royal Priors where Walnut and Weave used to be.
If you’re interested in renting a studio, please contact us. These spaces offer a fantastic opportunity to create alongside fellow artists, right next door to the gallery.
We are still in the final stages of planning and welcome your feedback on the proposed layouts. This is a collaborative journey, and we are excited about the possibilities our new spaces offer.
