The Leamington Studio Artists (LSA) is dedicated to fostering new artistic talent. In 2026, we’re proud to offer four bursaries of £500 each, providing vital financial support, creative project opportunities, and mentorship. Our aim is to help emerging artists through their creative journey, easing their transition into the professional art world.
The bursary is open to artists aged 18 or over who are working in any medium, including 2D, 3D, digital, or mixed media. It is aimed at emerging artists, typically within the first five years of their practice, including recent graduates or those returning to art. Applicants must live in Warwickshire or the surrounding areas. The bursary covers: –

I am a young artist based in Leamington Spa who enjoys all forms of art and media but mainly paints in acrylic. Although my career is not based around creating art, I’ve always been fascinated by how limitless art can be in day to day life. I’m constantly striving to view the world from a different perspective and share it with others through my creations.
Working under the moniker Whimziglo, mixed-media artist Zahra invites viewers into realms where the boundary between reality and imagination softly blurs. Her evocative pieces are deeply rooted in folklore, the cycles of nature, classic literature, and the tapestries of personal storytelling. By weaving together expressive color, rich textures, a touch of sparkle, and intuitive, layered mark-making, Zahra builds dreamlike worlds from the ground up. Her art serves as a sanctuary for wonder and memory, capturing and celebrating the quiet, luminous magic hidden just beneath the surface of everyday life.
I am a visual artist specialising in detailed pencil drawings and traditional printmaking. My work bridges the organic, sharp lines of tattoo artistry with the sweeping, dramatic geometries of Gothic architecture. Inspired by the towering spires, ribbed vaults, and historic weight of cathedrals and churches, I look for ways to translate that same sense of sacred, permanent storytelling into my prints and illustrations.
Amy Louise Rodger is a painter based in Warwickshire. After graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020 as a Scenic Artist, she has balanced a freelance scenic career alongside developing her fine art practice. This background continues to influence her work through a strong visual language rooted in colour, texture, and expressive mark-making.
Working within a self-taught, intuitive abstract art practice, Rodger creates paintings inspired by the emotional landscape of everyday life. Guided by instinct and process, she translates feelings into paint, exploring the complex nature of human emotions while creating space for reflection and connection within her work.
Submissions are now open for the LSA 2026 Programme, offering emerging artists the chance to be part of a supportive, professional arts community. Through the 2026 bursaries, successful applicants will receive financial support, exhibition opportunities, and practical experience to help develop their practice and profile.
