Sue Bent
Sue has lived in Leamington Spa since 2001.
She was the Chief Executive of a medium sized charity in Coventry for 18 years. Therefore she has a deep knowledge and experience of governance issues relating to charities, team working and advocacy skills. She is now retired from work.
Sue enjoys painting with coloured inks, acrylic, pastels and charcoal. She has been expanding her printmaking to also include collagraphs and mono prints. She is inspired by still life and abstract landscapes.
Sue has been a Leamington Studio Artists (LSA) member for over 10 years and she has been regularly volunteering in the ArtRoom since last year. She joined the LSA Board of Trustees in May 2023.

Mike Patrick
Mike is one of the new trustees at LSA. An engineer by training, he ventured into various fields, gaining expertise in Trading Standards, Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Risk Management, Human Resources, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Now retired, Mike has embraced a creative pursuit, channelling his energy into art and of course his love of the countryside. This transition reflects his lifelong passion for learning and exploring new avenues of expression.

Linda John
Linda is one of the new trustees at LSA. She comes from a corporate background rather than an artistic one, however brings useful leadership skills and experiences to LSA to help us go forward.
Her corporate experience was very people focussed and whilst she still keeps her hand in in that world, she has retrained and qualified as a celebrant for weddings, baby namings and funerals, specialising in creating and delivering bespoke and deeply personal ceremonies in Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.

John Boden
After university, John qualified as an accountant and spent 10 years working in corporate finance. He then acquired his own business, a hotel and banqueting centre, which he ran for 23 years.
He sold the business and retired early but found it impossible not to work and for the next 10 years was a volunteer adviser and then advice supervisor at Leamington Spa Citizens Advice.
John only really started painting after retirement. He paints in oils in a realist style, mainly portraits and groups, along with the occasional local landscape.
John has been a Leamington Studio Artists member since 2017, was treasurer until 2020, and rejoined the LSA Board of Trustees as treasurer in May 2023.

Alessia Sissa
Alessia is a conceptual visual artist and her work is deeply influenced by Surrealism. Her artistic practice focuses around photography.
She was born in Rome (Italy) and she now lives and works in Leamington Spa, UK.
Her work has been featured in many respectable Art Fairs and exhibitions around the UK and it is also regularly exhibited locally.
She has a strong background as a professional artist but also a multi-years experience in high-value brand sales, customer care and communication. She is a member of several artistic organisations. Alessia joined Leamington Studio Artists (LSA) in 2020. Since then, she has been an active member and volunteer in the organisation. In May 2023 she joined the LSA Board of Trustees.

Sue Southorn
Originally from Swindon, Sue’s background is in education having taught in Bristol before moving to Warwickshire in 1973.
Sue has wide experience of working with young children, adult literacy programmes and community relation organisations. Sue was a Head in Rugby for 11 years and then a Special Needs Officer before retiring in 2010.
Sue has always had a keen interest in art; was Treasurer for Warwickshire Teachers Art Association for 20 years and since retirement has pursued her passion for art enjoying success locally and nationally.
