Our art speaks volumes, it is a representation of our thoughts and emotions and it deserves to be seen in its best form. Don’t underestimate the power of a stunning visual presentation; it captivates your audience and showcases your talent effectively. When you share photographs of your work, consider how their style and quality can resonate with viewers. Poor imagery will reflect on the viewers’ perception of the quality of your actual work, gallery owners or followers on social media may often be first-time viewers.
It is believed that a well-taken photograph accounts for at least 80% of sales success and 50 milliseconds is all it takes to form a first impression You often don’t get a second chance to make a first impression so those milliseconds should count.
I spent many years photographing artwork for artists, and there are techniques for using the correct lighting for accurate colour rendition, perspectives, quality etc, it’s not easy when you’re unsure or simply don’t have the time. It is something I thoroughly enjoy, I get to handle lovely unique objects and learn about the hugely fascinating people who made them. If I can help please do contact me.
