LSA Celebrates the Success of Its Inaugural Leamington Mini Print Competition

by in Members News‚ News

LSA is delighted to mark the tremendous success of the very first Leamington Mini Print Competition—a national, open exhibition that has drawn entries from across the UK.

This exciting new initiative has not only showcased exceptional talent but has also highlighted Leamington’s growing reputation as a centre for contemporary printmaking.

We are proud to be sponsored by:

Min print
Johnathan Branson WDC, Ella Billiald WDC, Cecilia Mackay Winner!

Alongside the exhibition of 10×10 cm works at the Royal Pump Rooms, our strong community of LSA printmakers is complementing the event with Printmaking Week (25–29 November) at the Art Room. Daily workshops and live demonstrations are offering visitors the chance to explore a range of printmaking skills and techniques. This combination of exhibition and hands-on activity marks the beginning of what we hope will evolve into a full Leamington Printmaking Festival in years to come

We’re thrilled to report that around a quarter of the mini prints have already sold—an encouraging sign of the enthusiasm and support for the artists involved.

This inaugural competition has been made possible through the generous backing of our sponsors. Our heartfelt thanks go to Ironbridge Fine Arts, and especially Jenny Mason-Gunning, one of our independent judges; Jacksons Art Supplies, who also joined the judging panel; Pooki Press; Halo Framing for their mount support; and Warwick District Council, who partnered with us to host the exhibition in the iconic Royal Pump Rooms.

A huge thank you also goes to every printmaker who entered. Your creativity and commitment have set a brilliant foundation for future years.
