Exhibition Opportunities at The Glasshouse Studio, Jephson Gardens

Located in the heart of the award-winning Jephson Gardens, The Glasshouse Studio is a bright, high-footfall venue perfect for showcasing and selling your work. We are currently seeking collaborative groups for weekend residencies in this premier public space.

Exhibition Dates & Fees

  • Available Dates:
    • 30th – 31st May
    • 5th – 6th September
    • 12th – 13th December
  • Fees: £40 per exhibition space for the weekend (based on 5 available spaces).
  • Booking Policy: You may apply for your preferred date and nominate a second choice in case of over-subscription.
  • Payment: Required within one week of acceptance to secure your spot. Fees are non-refundable, though you may transfer your space to another LSA artist.

Venue & Display Details

  • Space Allocation: Each artist receives approximately 8–10 ft of floor space.
  • Display: Some tables are available, but we recommend bringing your own. You must provide your own tablecloths, easels, and browsers.
  • Crucial Note: There is no wall-hanging space available at this venue.
  • Collaboration: Artists are welcome to share their designated space or split days with another LSA member.

Artist Responsibilities

  • Logistics: Artists are responsible for setup, breakdown, and clearing all refuse (including fridge items). The studio must be left clean and secure.
  • Key Management: One group member must be designated to collect and return the key to the Pump Rooms.
  • Staffing: Artists should organize a collaborative rota to ensure the exhibition is manned at all times.
  • Security & Parking: All work is exhibited at the artist’s own risk. Please note there is no free parking at the venue.
  • Hospitality: You are welcome to provide light refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks) for your guests.

Sales & Commission

  • Commission: A 10% commission on all sales is payable to the LSA following the exhibition. Please factor this into your retail pricing.
  • Transactions: Artists must process their own payments and settle the commission total afterward.
  • Pricing Requirements: All work must be clearly priced.
    • Greeting Cards: Standardised at £3.00.
    • Labelling: All items must have a price label on the front.
    • Print Clarity: Original prints must be clearly described by medium (e.g., Lino, Wood-cut, or Giclée).
