Election of Trustees: Become a Part of the Board
This year’s AGM includes a crucial election for our Board of Trustees. We currently have six dedicated Trustees, but our constitution allows us to expand the Board up to 12 people. We are actively seeking enthusiastic new members to help guide LSA into its next successful phase.
Important Note on Process & Induction: All trustee nominations will be required to attend an interview with board members before they are accepted for election. Furthermore, all newly elected Trustees will benefit from an induction period ( ‘honeymoon period’) to ensure a smooth transition and mutual fit before taking on full responsibilities.
What does being a Trustee involve?
As a Trustee, you help ensure the organisation runs smoothly, legally, and strategically. Our board meets monthly, and Trustees contribute hands-on support in between meetings. We are seeking people who can work collaboratively with other board members, staff, and volunteers to achieve the organisation’s goals.
Learn more about the responsibilities: You can find a detailed explanation of the role on the government website here: Charity Trustee: What’s Involved. We need to ensure the LSA Board of Trustees comprises people with a mix of relevant skills and so it will be important for us to know what skills and experience you have that will help us manage the organisation.
