From schoolday sketches to expressive watercolour landscapes, Nina French’s creative journey has been shaped by a lifelong love of painting, dramatic scenery and the unpredictable beauty of watercolour. Inspired by rolling hills, turquoise seas and atmospheric skies, her work captures mood, memory and a deep connection to place.

Lorna Ashworth’s artistic journey offers a deeper understanding of her work. Rooted in giving overlooked materials new life, she draws inspiration from recycled tins—their colours, patterns, and hidden histories. Trained in jewellery at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, she shapes these humble containers into organic forms, transforming the ordinary into intimate, wearable art.

Working with reclaimed wood and metal, Warwickshire-based artist John Simpson transforms discarded materials into bold, functional artworks. Blending sculpture, design, and sustainability, his practice is led by aesthetics, shaped by function, and rooted in a belief that beauty and value can emerge from what we too easily throw away.

The Leamington Studio Artists marked the successful conclusion of its 2025 Bursary Exhibition with a month-long showcase at The Art Room. Featuring work by four emerging artists, the exhibition highlighted a year of artistic development across environmental printmaking, commercial photography, atmospheric painting, and optical illusion..
