Run Your Own Workshop

Springboard Studio Workshops

Our brand-new workshop space at Springboard Studios is now ready to welcome creative sessions! Set within our vibrant artistic hub, the space offers a unique setting where workshop participants can catch glimpses of artists at work in their studios, and find inspiration next door in our LSA Gallery.

The space is available for any LSA member to book, whether you’d like to run a one-off workshop or a series as part of a course. We recommend a group size of around six participants, though this may vary depending on the activity. With folding tables and a flexible layout, you can arrange the room to suit your session. A number of easels are also available if needed.

The workshops will be sold directly here on the LSA website.

You’ll also have access to a kitchen and toilet area, with facilities for preparing refreshments (if you plan to offer these, we ask that you bring your own supplies). There’s secure storage space too, ideal if you’re running a course and need to leave materials between sessions. All materials used in your workshop will be your responsibility to provide.

The Art Room is available to book during Royal Priors opening hours:
🕘 Monday–Saturday: 9am–6pm
🕙 Sunday: 10am–4pm

We will assess your proposal and potentially discuss the detail of it with you. The questions on the risk assessment must also be completed fully. As the workshop leader, you will be fully responsible for the management of the space and the safety of your participants; you are also representing the LSA and we expect that you will adhere to our values. More detail on these responsibilities can be found in the template Workshop Leader Agreement.

We have provided a risk assessment for the space in which the workshop will be held.. .as the workshop leader, you are responsible for ensuring these risks are managed. We hope this will also provide an example to help you in considering risks that you may need to identify and mitigate  in relation to the course you will be delivering and the materials involved.

Visibility on the website of your workshop and any promotions are subject to the full completion of the form and satisfactory assessment.  Once we have published workshops, changes to the published details can only be made in extreme circumstances so please check everything very carefully.
