I have a degree in Textile Design from the University of Leeds and won the Bradford Textile Prize in my final year. I worked as a freelance textile designer, selling textile designs to Marks and Spencer, Crown, Harlequin, and Horrockses for wallpapers and furnishing fabrics. I have designed a range of woven silk greetings cards for Cash's of Coventry silk weavers. I also produced a series of etchings representing Warwickshire. I taught art and design at Warwickshire College for 30 years. My use of colour, light and texture is inspired by my Cornish childhood and time spent in Cornwall and Warwickshire.
