I was first introduced to the world of ceramics when i undertook an apprenticeship in a studio pottery on the Wirral. This was followed by studying for a ceramics degree in Stoke On Trent. Whilst running my first studio in Cambridgeshire I began teaching pottery to various community groups which ultimately led to teaching ceramics in further education and adult learning. My work is all made on the wheel and a lot of his colour pallet involves using coloured slips and engobes. “My early inspiration came from ceramicists Lucy Rea and Hans Coper although I continue to be inspired by many other forms of art and contemporary design” My great passion is inspiring others to take up pottery making through.teaching.
