Kellie Every is a Barbadian mixed media and abstract artist based in London, with a creative journey shaped by time spent in Barbados, Toronto, and the UK. She studied Fine Art at the Barbados Community College, where her foundation in traditional techniques evolved into a bold and expressive contemporary style. Kellie’s work is deeply influenced by the natural beauty and spirit of the Caribbean, particularly the landscapes and energy of her home island. Though she has lived in major cities for the past decade, she frequently returns to Barbados, and its vibrant colours, organic textures, and sense of rhythm remain central to her artistic voice. A lot of her further education and early career included several years in business, entrepreneurship and corporate sales. This chapter sharpened her commercial instincts, but ultimately, the pull toward creative expression and purpose, led her back to art. Her practice explores themes of transformation, identity, and balance—often through dynamic compositions that blend bold colour, layered materials, and movement. Kellie has exhibited in Barbados, Canada, and London, with her work resonating across cultures for its emotional depth and vibrant energy. Through her art, she aims to create moments of connection, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and experience the world through a renewed lens.
