Julie Elliott Biography:
My love of nature, the landscape and the natural environment, inspires me to paint and interpret the surroundings, mostly in watercolour. I try to reflect nature in its huge variety, with an affinity for; vegetation (grasses/reeds/trees), the sea and coastal scenes, estuaries and marshes, changing seasons. This generates a huge diversity of output and interpretation, with both subtle and vivid shades, pastels and vibrant hues reflective of nature itself.
I loved art and literature when younger, but despite having a picture in an art gallery at 8 years old it has taken a long time to come back to painting and the last 10 years has seen development of an understanding of watercolours, how to paint more freely and experiment to achieve a myriad of outcomes!
