My Profile

I previously attended Bradford College of Art in the 1970s and explored a variety of creative techniques . My studies also focused on Community Arts and Printmaking.

After several years of travelling and living abroad I returned to England and worked with a variety of community groups combining creative activities with rehabilitative intervention. I then retrained as a community occupational therapist before leaving the profession in 2017.

I have since returned to my artistic roots starting with my love of printmaking by exploring a variety of techniques and equipment.

I choose images that are sometimes quite basic and naive often with a silly sense of humour keeping images simple and uncomplicated and suitable for observers of any age.

I draw directly onto the plate or vinyl/lino and let the picture develop.

Printmaking should be fun in addition to skilful and be the gateway to creative stories and conversations.
