Course outline: We will look at famous paintings and recreate them in our way using the medium of gelli printing. We will look at work by Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh & Matisse. I will introduce you to printing on a gelli plate, creating blends, creating textures, combining textures, using mask, using stencils, printing with hand carved wooden block, drawing, image transfers, magazine transfers and collating it in the end to create your own masterpiece. It will be fast paced and fun.
Types of medium used within the workshop: Paper, acrylic paint, gelli plate, stencils, masks, pencil, charcoal, wooden blocks, glue, scissors
