Now showing at The Art Room, the 2025 LSA Bursary Exhibition brings together four emerging artists whose practices have been shaped by a year of creative support. From sustainable printmaking and urban light studies to optical illusion and professional photography, this exhibition offers a compelling glimpse into the future of the Leamington arts scene.
Hayley Burgess | Sustainability in Print Hayley utilized her bursary to research rare botanical species and develop a natural screen-printing medium. Her work serves as a sensory tribute to Warwickshire’s diminishing wildflower habitats, encouraging viewers to appreciate the delicate ecologies that remain at sites like Newbold Comyn.
Logan Larkin-Wong | Professional Development For Logan, the bursary provided the resources to transition into professional photography. His year included selling work for show homes, volunteering at local festivals, and receiving high-level mentorship. His exhibit showcases a polished, commercial-ready portfolio.
Evelina Placinta | Urban Light Studies Evelina’s project allowed her to invest in premium materials to explore “A Study in Light and Contrast.” Her paintings provide a side-by-side look at Leamington under the sun and under the streetlights, capturing the town’s architectural beauty in every light.
Ricky Piggott | Perception & Geometry Ricky’s exhibition features four key optical illusion techniques, ranging from “smaller faces within larger faces” to the use of dots and lines to create depth. His work is a technical triumph that has already wowed audiences at Art in the Park.
