Workshop details:
Join Lorna Ashworth for a relaxed session learning the basics of Linocut Printing. In the session you will be shown how to use carving tools and have time to practice using them. We will then design a single colour Lino print which you will then carve.
You will then be shown how to roll out the ink and how to ink up your Lino block so that you can print your design.
No previous Lino experience is needed for this workshop, there is plenty of time so the process is not rushed. At the end of the session you will have your own carved block to take home as well various prints of your own.
Materials:
All materials will be provided.
What to bring:
Good idea to bring an apron or clothes you don’t mind getting ink on (ink has a tendency to travel sometimes).
Feel free to bring along ideas for your print.
