After spending a year as East Lodge Manager, Kay is having to step down from the role as she has accepted a job.
Kay says “I hope I have created a relaxed atmosphere, curated exhibitions satisfactorily and generally made everyone feel welcome. Before starting I knew my own art fields and this has been expanded to other mediums and I enjoyed discussions about art and sharing exhibitions I have visited.”
Her experience of having a public facing role, organising volunteers and scheduling exhibitions were all skills she developed whilst doing this voluntary work for the LSA, managing the East Lodge.
Thank you Kay for your dedicated service and for playing such a key role in enabling the LSA to offer the gallery space to its members.
We are now looking for a new Manager for the East Lodge to continue the fantastic work that Kay has been doing. We also need stewards to enable the gallery to open- there are 20 shifts per week that need to be covered.
As manager, the day to day running involves organising stewarding, cleanliness and maintenance, point of contact, health and safety and key holder.
Please get in touch if you are interested in the manager position or feel you could help cover some of the shifts in the gallery space.
