An experienced embroiderer, covering textile art from blackwork to temari, Nicola Davis enjoys stitching that blends mathematics and symmetry with unexpected twists of colour. She believes embroidery is a unique medium through which to explore ancient traditions while expressing a modern experience of the world.

A member of the Japanese Temari Association (JTA), Nicola runs temari workshops online and in person to introduce others to this beautiful art.

Nicola has passed her level three (Shihan/Teacher) course with the JTA, granting her the JTA’s ‘teaching license’.
