My Profile

I am a Fine Artist specialising in printmaking. I started my printmaking journey nearly twenty years ago when I made my first Collagraph print whilst studying for my BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. I went on to develop my printmaking further during my time at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, graduating with BA Fine Art.

I approach printmaking as an extension to my drawing practice, challenging myself to work through ideas in new and exciting ways. I often combine two or more printmaking techniques such as Collagraph, Drypoint, Monotype, Linocut and Mokulito (wood Lithography) to produce the final print. Allowing my work to evolve slowly into reflective small editions or unique mono prints. 

I feel fortunate to live and work in a beautiful village in Warwickshire surrounded by fields and animals. This is reflected in my work which is largely autobiographical. I use the transformative qualities of the natural environment around me as a metaphor for myself.
