I am a British born mixed media Artist, Specialist Palliative Care Nurse and mum. After completing my Fine Art and Health degree in 2003, I worked at the 50th Venice Bienniale. Not too long after, art became my own therapy when I answered the calling to become a nurse, graduating in 2010. I painted my way through the pandemic, taking particular comfort in depicting the familiar landscapes from my journeys home after night shifts. I was proud to exhibit these paintings as part of Covert Art’s debut exhibition in 2020. I was also privileged to display two paintings in the windows of Coventry’s Xcel Centre for Artspace’s Artist on Your Street programme in 2021. I was proud to showcased three illustrations at Coventry’s Shoot Festival in 2022. I had two of my works exhibited at the Rugby Open last year and also at the Herbert gallery earlier this year. I regularly exhibit at Leamington Art Room, I am their Artist in Residence this September. I enjoy the themes, the variety & networking there. My work is best described as elemental, ethereal, everyday art. I wish for my work to promote reminiscence and conversation and to tell a story and perhaps encourage those who may not usually go to a gallery to visit one. I also embrace the benefits of art in health and well-being and am a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group
on Arts, Health and Wellbeing. I became a Global Arts in Health Fellow this month. I volunteered for ‘Paintings in Hospitals’ pre pandemic & volunteer for the charity Supershoes now, were artists paint converse for children undergoing cancer treatment.
