I think I became an artist from the first time picked up a crayon. It defined who I was then and who I have become. I trained in design - and spent my early career working on custom interiors for homes, with a specialist interest in the use of colour and light. I was, and remain fascinated by the interplay of line and space. Comparing the ‘before’ and the ‘after’ was always the best part for me.

With the advent of motherhood my interest in line and colour focused on murals, first for my children then for my clients. unlocking a different kind of joy in the delight I saw in the young eyes of my clients and their new favourite places.

With years of ideas and piles of saved reference material, the time has come for the newest exploration for me, and begin getting the art out that’s been waiting for a canvas or digital download all these years.

My art is a fusion of line, colour and sacred geometry. Mandalas are compact images saturated with symbols, vibration and interpretations of colour. Known as Cymatics, this enables us to see the geometric patterns of frequencies in media, like sand or water, or here in my work in paint or bits and bytes.

I’m fascinated by nature and our multicultural world, the sounds, the colours and the people. Intentionally, I include cultural symbols from around the world in my work, fusing them to show just how alike we are as a species, showing we are really ultimately all just human.

This work is my invitation to those who are already connecting on this frequency as well as those willing to try something new, to get more connected to all that we are as human beings; colourful, vibrant, beautiful, and more conscious than we sometimes give ourselves credit for.
