Course outline: Join artist Anna for a hands-on creative experience where you’ll transform a pre-loved shirt into a work of art. In this step-by-step workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare garments for painting and create a beautiful seascape on textiles using expressive brushwork and textural techniques.
Learning Outcomes Include:-
* Practical skills in preparing fabric for painting
* Guidance in painting a seascape onto clothing
* Techniques for adding texture and depth to textiles
* Confidence to upcycle and personalise your own garments
Participants are also welcome to bring an additional treasured garment to have gessoed and ready for future painting projects.
Leave with new creative skills and a truly unique piece of wearable art.
Types of medium used within the workshop: Paper, acrylic paint, gelli plate, stencils, masks, pencil, charcoal, wooden blocks, glue, scissors
Materials provided:
Half a prepped Shirt
Masking tape
Acrylic Paints x 6 , Mini Palettes, Brushes , Palette knives , Wooden spatulas
Tracing paper and photo of seascape
Plastic Aprons and Plastic gloves.
Materials participants should bring: Participants are also welcome to bring an additional treasured garment.
