Time: 1:30pm – 5pm

Level: All levels welcome.

Location: LSA Art Room, Springboard Studios, Lower Mall, Royal Priors, Leamington Spa.

We will use bold and experimental mark-making to produce a painting evocative of your memories of landscapes special to you. Working in oils, the focus will be on taking a free and instinctive approach, using blending, ‘wet on wet’ techniques and various tools.

What to bring:

A canvas, canvas board or primed panel roughly 30x30cm (or you can buy a canvas board from Paula on the day for £3.00)
Ideas or thoughts about the landscapes that are special to you, their features and colours

Optional extras:

Clean lint-free rags – old clothes, handkerchiefs, etc, to use to wipe paint from brushes and tools and/or for rubbing paint on your canvas (I will have a stock of rags but always happy to add to this with what you can donate!)
Old items to use as painting ‘tools’ – for example old credit cards, kitchen utensils, squeegees and sponges – anything that you don’t mind destroying!
Desk Easel – only if you have one and would like to use it

Please note, your painting will still be wet at the end of the session, so please make sure you can carry it safely home.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes plans change. To ensure fairness and to support the smooth running of our workshops, please take note of our cancellation policy:

No Refunds
Once a booking has been made and paid for, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations.
Transfer of Booking
If you are unable to attend a workshop, you may nominate someone else to take your place at no additional cost. Please inform us by email at least 24 hours prior to the workshop with the name and contact details of the person attending in your place.
Non-Attendance
If you do not attend and have not arranged for someone to attend in your place, your booking will be considered forfeited and no refund or transfer will be available.

We appreciate your understanding and support of our small arts community. This policy helps us manage resources, materials, and planning to ensure the best possible experience for all attendees.

Age Restrictions

This workshop is designed for and open to participants aged 18 years and over. A place may be booked for a young person aged 16 or 17, providing they are accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 who is also booked and attending the workshop. Please view our safeguarding policy.
