Artist facilitating: Carla Moss – Blackbird Artisans
Date: 7th April, 10:15 – 13:15
Level: All levels welcome.
Website: https://blackbirdshack.co.uk/
Location: LSA Art Room, Springboard Studios, Lower Mall, Royal Priors, Leamington Spa.
In the workshop Carla will guide you through creating a lovely little stitched bird. It will be a British Native and there will be four to choose from.
You will use a free lively hand stitching approach for adding fabric and threads as textile layers to your picture.
The focus will be on the key elements which make the bird unique, with the aim to give life and movement rather than striving for an exact representation.
In this relaxed workshop you will follow a step by step process and have enough time to create your first picture in class. The needle and frame will be yours to take away and use with your new skills to explore further in your own time.
The workshop is open to both novice and experienced stitchers alike. Be rest assured, you do not have to be an expert stitcher to participate in this fun workshop.
