Mary Usher Thomas

Mary is a local artist, and she has been painting for many years. Mary is a member of Leamington Studio Artists (LSA) and Coventry & Warwickshire Society of Artists (CWSA).
She has named this exhibition “Reflections of the past”, as her paintings are of favourite places she has visited over the years that hold special memories for her.
Mary enjoys working in acrylic, oil, watercolour and pastel. She also enjoys the challenge of experimenting with new techniques and mediums.

Pat McHale

Pat’s three woodcuts: One Black Stone, Two Black Stones, & The Golden River are imaginary landscapes inspired by “The King of the Golden River” written by John Ruskin in 1841. Ruskin at that time was living in Leamington Spa while he recovered from ill health and was under the care of Dr. Jephson.
This is a timeless story and its message about environmental stewardship and moral responsibility is just as relevant in today’s world as it was when written by Ruskin more than a century and a half ago.
Pat McHale’s work is constantly inspired by what he refers to as “The great beauty of the world that we inhabit” and this is what he tries to depict on his artwork.
