Jephson Gardens Gallery

Please follow these steps to apply for an exhibition at Jephson Gardens:

1. Understand the Space: 
   • Jephson Gardens Gallery has two rooms.
   • You can typically hire a maximum of one full room at a time.
   • A “half room” option is also available, but this is contingent on another artist applying to share the remaining space.
   • LSA strongly recommends you visit Jephson Gardens to see the gallery first hand and understand its layout and display options. This will help you plan your exhibition effectively. We will also send you a 3D model of the gallery spaces with a schedule of dimensions.

3. Selection and Allocation:
   • The curators of Jephson Gardens Gallery (who are mentioned on the LSA site are as Alastair, Sue, and Ede) oversee the selection process.
   • They aim to allocate dates, rooms, and specific wall spaces to ensure a varied and interesting exhibition program throughout the year.
   • The Jephson Gardens Exhibition Organiser has the final decision on bookings.
4. Exhibitor Responsibilities if Accepted:
   • Presence: LSA expects you to volunteer at the gallery during your show and you will need to book some slots on the WhatsApp rota . Visitors often enjoy meeting the artists, and volunteer stewards may be available to assist you.
   • Hanging & Take Down: You must be present for both the hanging and take-down of your exhibition. A curation team will be here help you with this.
   • Commission: LSA charges a 10% commission on all artwork sales made during your exhibition.
   • Insurance: This is critical. LSA explicitly states that they do not provide insurance or accept responsibility for artwork exhibited or stored at Jephson Gardens. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance for your artwork.
   • Opening Times: Be aware that Jephson Gardens’s opening times can vary due to Jephson Gardens’ opening hours.
