Julie works in a range of media and styles, including oils, watercolours, pastels, etching and linocut printing. The subjects of her art are drawn from natural flora, fauna and landscapes. She holds a diploma from the Society of Botanical Artists. Julie also paints studies of birds and other animals, often focusing on endangered species. Her favourite locations for landscape oil painting are wild and atmospheric places, where she captures the contours in different light, weather and times of day.
