My Profile

Hi, I’m Alan Merrick a self taught artist. I began reflecting on my future plans and pending retirement after years of working full time and raising four children. I realised that I needed to have something to give myself inspiration to get out of life as much as possible and that was my Art.
Terence Merrick, my late father, was also an artist who had won The Wildlife Art Society’s Gold Medal award in 1999 and I would like to think that his influence has played a major part in my love of art.
My future plan is to give as much time as possible to painting and to express the Power and Dynamics of Art using all subjects and a mix of work in Oils, Pastels and Acrylics.
