Claire enjoys a variety of art practices. Her current favourites are Free machine embroidery, digitized machine embroidery and working with fabric to create dolls. Claire creates realistic and abstract machine embroideries. She likes to dip into other mediums too so you may find her dabbling with resin and mixed media to create pieces of jewellery.
Claire studied at Chichester University qualifying with a 2.1 BA Hons in fine art and related arts in 2000. Claire has appeared in stitchery articles, won national competitions and been head hunted to write a book about machine embroidery her book is called ‘machine embroidery techniques and projects’ published in 2020 by the crowood press.
Claire is currently recovering from a health issue and hopes to be back participating in local markets and exhibitions soon.
