The LSA Annual Open Exhibition for Paintings and Illustrations will take place in October 2018. There will again be prizes! The best work will be selected by a panel of judges, with one artwork receiving the £100 judges prize. A people’s choice award of £50 will also be given.
The LSA is rich with talented artists and this is a marvellous opportunity to see a selection of their work and the work of other local artists.
Entry to the exhibition costs £10 for members and £15 for non-members. Entries are limited to three per person. The submission fee will be refunded to those not selected. Maximum artwork size is 50cm x 70cm or equivalent. If you have work bigger than this that you would like to submit, please contact the East Lodge Manager. Please email Chris at email@example.com with images of the work you are intending to submit and dimensions so that he can prepare for the exhibition.
There will be no commission fee charged on sales, but a 3% charge will be made for any purchases made by credit/debit card.
Submission will take place at East Lodge on Monday 1st October 10am-2pm. The £10 entry fee (£15 for non-members) should be paid in cash at this time.
All paintings must have a cord for hanging and a sticker on the back indicating the artist’s name, title, size, medium, price and contact details (email and phone). If your submission is not selected for the exhibition you will be informed by email. Artwork not selected for show can be collected on Tuesday 2nd October, 2-4pm.
Unsold work must be collected on Sunday 28th October between 1pm and 4pm.
LSA will not take any responsibility for loss or damage to artwork. Please ensure that you have appropriate insurance in place.
The exhibition will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am until 4pm (subject to park opening times), from 3rd until 28th October. A private view, to which all exhibiting artists and members are invited and at which the prize winner will be announced, will take place on Sunday 7th October from 2-4pm.
