My Profile

I was born in Marston Green near Birmingham and I work in series from from my purpose built home studio in Redditch Worcestershire.
I obtained her BTEC in art and design in 2012 at the Heart of Worcestershire college in Bromsgrove and went on to get a first class degree in fine art at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham in 2015.
Before attending University my work was mainly photo realistic animals , portraits and landscapes made with dry media but I left college with a passion to work with paint. Indeed while I was at college frustrated that the art supply shop had been replaced with a Starbucks booth I decided to open up my own art supply shop which I ran with the aid of students needing work experience for the 2 years of my college course. On leaving university I experimented more with combining abstract techniques ito my first love which is portraiture which culminated in the new “ Fractured “ series at the end of 2022. This series has won the coveted Montpellier award and an award for most vibrant new artist by the local press .
The fractured series has proven to be extremely popular and plays on mixture of the look of Bridget Riley’s “Op Art” and old printing techniques that I found in a 1980s charity shop book . However this look is not created in Photoshop and all of the linework and painting is done by hand to create something unique to me . However I still love creating vibrant abstracts in oil and acrylics and simple watercolours from time to time . As gallery’s tend to be specific on what they want these pieces are usually what I sell at my own events such as Art in the Park that I’ve been doing since 2019

Sandra is also known for the Coalesce exhibition at the Old Truman Brewery gallery in London and being named by Aesthetica Art Magazine as one of their top UK 100 artists and featuring in their Anthology as part of the Aesthetica Art Prize .
Sandra is also represented by Fine-Art publishers, Creative Fine Art, who distribute her art to galleries in the south of England and the north Midlands.

Sandra is also represented by Opal Fine Art Gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon.
As well as regularly exhibiting and selling with the LSA..
