Verna is a couture milliner creating bespoke hats and headpieces for occasion wear and exhibition. Her designs are inspired by architecture, science and technology, the natural world and cultural icons not to mention the rich textures colours and forms of the materials she works with. Her designs range from simple understated elegance to the dramatic and theatrical to suit the wearer and the occasion. Verna has exhibited in the London Hat Week Great Exhibition in 2019 and 2020, and more recently at Wise Investment in Chipping Norton during Oxfordshire Artweeks and the 2025 Heseltine Open. She is a member of Banbury Artists Cooperative, exhibiting all year round at Church Lane Gallery, Banbury
