Born locally in Cubbington, Mike has worked in many parts of the world, including India, Europe, the Middle East, South America, and the Far East. After semi-retiring, a chance reunion with an old work colleague inspired a new chapter—painting—which began in 2015 and has continued ever since.
A self-taught artist, Mike’s work is strongly influenced by his deep appreciation for nature and the environment. With an early career as a draughtsman, he remains open to exploring different art forms, believing that variety brings a broader creative perspective. While most of his work is in acrylic, watercolour continues to hold a special place.
His proudest artistic achievement to date is designing the cover of his wife’s book.
