Following the Government's recent recommendations concerning Coronavirus, with immediate effect and with a heavy heart, we are closing East Lodge Gallery until further notice. You can see the exhibitions we had planned below, and we hope our exhibition programme will resume very soon, but our priority is to keep our volunteers and customers safe. Annual Open Exhibition for Painting and Illustrations
We are very excited to be holding the first Annual Open Exhibition of Paintings and Illustrations at East Lodge. The best work will be selected by a panel of judges, with one artwork receiving the £100 judges prize. A people’s choice award of £50 will also be given.
The LSA is rich with talented artists and this is a marvellous opportunity to see a selection of their work and the work of other local artists.
Entry to the exhibition costs £10 for members and £15 for non-members. Entries are limited to one per person. The submission fee will be refunded to those not selected. Maximum artwork size is 50cm x 70cm.
There will be no commission fee charged on sales, but a 3% charge will be made for any purchases made by credit/debit card.
Submission will take place at East Lodge on Monday 3rd October 10am-1pm. The £10 entry fee (£15 for non-members) should be paid in cash at this time.
All paintings must have a cord for hanging and a sticker on the back indicating the artists name, title, size, price and contact details (email and phone). If your submission is not selected for the exhibition you will be informed by email. Artwork not selected for show can be collected on Tuesday 4th October, 2-4pm.
LSA will not take any responsibility for loss or damage to artwork. Please ensure that you have appropriate insurance in place.
The exhibition will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am until 5pm (subject to park opening times), from 5th until 30th October. A private view, to which all exhibiting artists and members are invited and at which the prize winner will be announced, will take place on Sunday 9th October from 1-4pm.
