John has loved photography all his life, but he first took up painting when he moved to Leamington in 2016. His wife thought it would keep him out of trouble.
John’s photographs are of the patterns, colours and shapes as water moves – through rock pools in Cornwall or in Croatian harbours. John’s paintings try to capture moments – in Leamington, landscapes, gardens, or by the sea, and reach for abstraction while hopefully also recognisable as places.
