IMPORTANT NOTICE
EAST LODGE GALLERY CLOSED
Following the Government's recent recommendations concerning Coronavirus, with immediate effect and with a heavy heart, we are closing East Lodge Gallery until further notice. You can see the exhibitions we had planned below, and we hope our exhibition programme will resume very soon, but our priority is to keep our volunteers and customers safe. In the meantime, check back here for further news, and do keep following us on Facebook.

Gill Buick – A Colourful Life
Gill took up art 15 years ago after encouragement from an artist friend.
It rapidly became a major part of her life, starting with Watercolours, but exploring all mediums, she now paints mostly in Acrylics and more recently, Oils.
Once asked if she ever painted her emotions, she replied, “No, because they can be rather dark, I would rather exaggerate the beautiful colour in the life of nature around me.”
She sees all of creation, the gloomy skies, snow covered lanes, blossoming spring and glorious autumn, all filled with layers of wonderful colour and texture. This is reflected in her style of painting and her most favoured subject, the Landscape.
Playing with all sorts of mediums and “crafty stuff” Gill enjoys making her own Greetings cards, Altered Journals and recycled bottles, jars and boxes.

Ian Mattingly – Time and Tide
lan has painted and drawn all his life. He trained as a graphic design and worked as a designer for most of his career.
He is now able to devote a good deal of time to being creative which he finds fulfilling and, usually, satisfying.
His paintings are single and multiple images expressing the changing colours and moods of weather, the seasons and times of day through landscapes and seascapes, observed, remembered and imagined.

Gabriele Polizzi – GaPo
Is an Italian artist who has exhibited all over the world – Rome, Milan, Turin, Shanghai, Melbourne, London. He has painted abstractly most of his life and has only recently begun experimenting with figurative forms using airbrushing techniques. His most popular works each represent two figures as human souls that are linked forever through an indelible ink showing the events they shared together.
When working on a commission, he likes to meet the customer to understand his/her personality and he likes to visit the patron’s house to observe the environment in which the picture will hang to make sure his artwork will match, a courtesy few artists offer.
GaPo moved to the UK 5 years ago and he is now running Fridays art sessions and workshops in Leamington Spa sharing with beginners and experienced artists his tips and knowledge (you can find more info on Facebook.com/collectingartshop or Instagram.com/collectingartshop).
